Taking into account the fact that the Republic of Serbia is in the process of EU accession, national legislation on public procurement are being gradually harmonized with EU legislation.
This reflects the actual ability of contracting authorities and bidders to effectively implement them in practice, while ensuring full harmonization till accession.
This project provides technical assistance to the Public Procurement Office and other key-line institutions in charge of public procurement regulations and their execution and to enhance the capacity of the contracting authorities and economic operators in private sector.
Assistance is to cover broad scope of activities, namely support in setting up legislative framework, establishment of required IT system and strengthening capacities of different stakeholders.
The project is implemented by GIZ International Services in Consortium with KPMG d.o.o. and KPMG Advisory S.p.A
