26 Nov 320 economic operators and contracting authorities were trained on the new Public Procurement Portal
Belgrade, November 26, 2019 – Practical workshops that were held throughout Serbia have been completed. 320 economic operators and contracting autorities participated in two-day training events where the novelties in the Proposal for the Public Procurement Law and the new Public Procurement Portal were presented, at the invitation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Public Procurement Office.
Educational tour organized in eight cities in Serbia, during October and November, ended with a two-day workshop in Kraljevo. Apart from Kraljevo, workshops were also held in Belgrade, Pozarevac, Novi Sad, Subotica, Nis, Leskovac and Kragujevac. In each of these cities 40 participants, tenderers and contracting autorities were thoroughly acquainted with the new Public Procurement Portal. The workshops included training on basic functionalities necessary for the use of the Portal – the layout of the Portal, registration of users, public procurement plan, submission of tenders, opening of tenders, legal protection etc.
After the training was completed the comments we received from the participants was very positive.

Participants agreed that it was very important for them to have the opportunity to listen competent and qualified trainers, as well as to discuss with the representatives of the Public Procurement Office.
Teja Kolar, Team Leader, stated that it was a great pleasure for the whole team that information and practical exercises were useful as a preparation for the implementation of the new Public Procurement Law, and that participants would also benefit in future business. She particularly pointed out great support of Serbian Chamber of Commerce in organizing these workshops.
