The most important novelties in the new draft PPL – presentation on the SCTM Public Procurement Network meeting

Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities organized the 3rd meeting of the Public Procurement Network for the members of the SCTM Network for Public Procurement representing towns and municipalities of Serbia. One of the topics at this 3rd meeting was dedicated to the new draft of the Public Procurement Law in order to familiarize the members (representatives of contracting authorities on the local level) with the concept, new provisions and novelties of the new draft PPL.

The presentations of the draft Public Procurement Law were given by Ms Sandra Damčević, Acting Director of PPO and Ms Teja Kolar, Team Leader of the project while the discussion with the participants was supported also by Ms Ivana Đenić, Assistant Director of the PPO.

  

The discussion held with participants afterwards raised interesting and important questions and will contribute to the improvement of the text of the draft PPL.

The Project supported the PPO in elaboration of the draft of the new PPL which aims to align the national legislation with the European Union law (the EU public procurement directives) and to increase the transparency, efficiency, flexibility and competitiveness of public procurement procedures.
