04 Apr The Workshop for the Public Procurement Office
Arandjelovac, 21 – 23 March 2018 – The Project organized, in cooperation with UNDP Project “Accelerating Accountability Mechanisms in Public Finances”, a three-day workshop for the employees of the Public Procurement Office, titled “The Classical and Utilities Directive in the context of the draft of the new Public Procurement Law”.
This event was the first from the series of workshops planned in accordance with the Training Plan developed by the Project.
The speakers at the workshop were the Team Leader of the Project Ms Teja Kolar, and Head of the Group for the Development of the Public Procurement System Mr Miloš Jović. The workshop was attended by 11 representatives of the PPO.
Topics presented and discussed during the workshop concerned among others the scope, coverage and general principles of public procurement, integrity and conflict of interests, exemptions from the scope of the public procurement rules, communication in the public procurement procedures, public procurement procedures, framework agreements, submission of tenders, technical specifications, conditions for participation, award criteria, as well as evaluation of tenders.
The workshop was held in the interactive way, enabling the participants to raise many questions and get detailed information about both the EU directives on public procurement practical impact of those rules.
