19 Apr New Public Procurement Portal: Electronic submission of tenders and e-catalogue
Ečka, April 18-19, 2019. – After the first practical workshop about the new Public Procurement Portal, the Project organized another two modules, where the Public Procurement Office employees were trained how to use the new Portal from the aspect of economic operators, e-submission and opening of tenders, and on the e-catalogue.
Teja Kolar, team leader, IPA Project, said that it was crucial that the PPO staff continue practical training on the new Portal through concrete practical sessions and tasks, in order to become familiar with the way it functions and to be prepared to start working promptly when the new Portal will be live.
“We started the workshops on the Public Procurement Portal last month and we plan to continue them, since we are dedicated to training of the employed at the PPO. The PPO as a service is our common goal, because it will be mandated for provision of continuous support to final users of the new Portal,” said Dariusz Piasta, from the IPA Project, at the opening of workshops on April 19.
During the two-days workshop, 13 Public Procurement Office employees had the opportunity to attend nine helpful practice sessions.
E-procurement experts Dean Firkelj and Alena Detan Karlović presented new functions to the participants. Those functions included e-Tender submissions and e-Catalogue.
Participants had a chance to learn how economic operators are registered, how public procurement plans are searched and how one could subscribe to receiving information about the process, in order to timely inform the tenderers. Monitoring of potential modifications to the tender documentation and search of published public procurement procedures on the Portal will also contribute to a higher degree of information availability and transparency.
